Tip
If you're already in the middle of your content creation workflow, you can conveniently upload assets directly from any template (see the next section for details).
Using assets
All Typeface templates let you use (and upload) assets on-the-fly. There are three ways you can do this.
Using a text asset in Document Transform
Document Transform allows you to repurpose your written documents into any desired format, such as a blog post or email announcement. To add in a text file, switch the “Are you using a URL?” toggle off and upload your PDF or Word document.
From there, you enter a prompt on how you’d like to rewrite the content.
Using an image asset in templates
Many templates have the option to showcase an asset. Simply turn the asset toggle on and pick your asset. Since Typeface already understands which product you are using, the start of your prompt will be in reference to your product’s placement. Common ways to start your prompt include: “on,” “next to,” “with,” and “surrounded by.”
Using an image asset in image blocks
Image prompting lets you showcase your image assets on various scenes & backgrounds. When you "Create a new image" in a document, use the /Asset command to open up your asset options.
From there, you can search, select, or upload an asset to be showcased in your image
Remember to incorporate the asset into your image prompt by following the image prompt structure and turning on "Enhance" toggle to auto-enrich prompts.
Using an image asset in Image Studio
If you want greater control over the particular size and placement of your image assets, go to the Image Studio. Here you can use or upload your image assets by clicking the “+ Add” button at the top left. Learn more about how to use Image Studio.

Get started on adding and using your first asset. To learn the topics covered in this guide, try out the following:
Go into your project’s “Assets” tab. For the best results, upload a single product on a transparent background.
Create a new document and enter the </ Asset> command in the image prompt box. Upload an image showcasing your product or service.
Go into the Document Transform template. Upload a PDF or Word document or insert a URL you’d like to repurpose or summarize.

FAQs
What image files do you support?
For best results, we recommend uploading PNG images of a single product with a transparent background. Typeface also accepts JPEG and WEBP. Uploads of up to 5k resolution are supported.
What document files do you support?
Typeface supports PDF and Word documents of up to 20 MB in the Document Transform template.
How many images do I upload per asset?
It’s generally best to include one product per asset. If you have multiple angles of the same product, feel free to add them all to the same asset. You're able to select the particular angle you’d like to use from the Image Studio.
What happens when my asset masking looks inaccurate?
After uploading your asset, hover the asset and click the edit icon. Then go to "Edit Mask." This feature allows you to click areas of the image to define both the Foreground and Background.
Editing the mask is helpful when your image has multiple products, and you want to guide Typeface to recognize the right one or multiple products in the same image.
